journey

Life can control you sometimes; grip the steering wheel and ruthlessly press down on the accelerator. A blur of time and place pass the window, single moments lost as the driver sits there, eyes fixated on the road ahead: the destination. Outside, the open, lush meadows sit peacefully, home to families of wise oaks, elegant ferns and newborn sprouts. Beings forcibly take their first breath, others accepting their last. The roaring oceans roll over, determined to reach their beloved sand; their time ever so short as they are forcibly pulled apart, avidly awaiting their next embrace. The moon sits patiently as it dreams of fame and awe. Every constellation hangs, each outpouring a glowing beam, dreaming of the life they watch afar. All go unnoticed, their qualities and life seen as the norm by many.

On her drive forward, she absentmindedly drifted her gaze, the surroundings smiling as she greeted them with her eyes. The forced moved her on, the sight lost. As her eyes returned to the erratic path ahead, her mind continued to paint within her, flourishing every curve and shade she had laid her eyes on, soon to be forgotten.

Those who stop on the road ahead, sit and even for a moment watch; there's something incredibly amazing about that. They accept life: it's gifts and fortunes. Observing one observing is something so much more; their body and movement revealing a story untold, thoughts wild and hidden. Indeed, her appearance said nothing to what encompassed her. Those eyes forever watching, her thoughts constantly absorbing. Every inch in her vision appeared to be precious; her eyes full of hope and wonder. A camera could never capture what she saw, such photos never fully revealing the colours, sparkle and atmosphere seen by such wondrous eyes. Her stance lowered as she revelled in the notion that none saw the awe and consternation every second offered, how every chance wasn't grasped with such stupefaction and somewhat desperation.

It's an understatement to say we get caught up easily; simple confounding moments, chances and images slipping through our fingers, unnoticed. It's seems apparent enough to look up, however, few really do. Many of us continue driving ahead, allowing life to push us on, rather than accepting, embracing and worshipping it in all it's glory. This world is not something to rush, not something to brush past, all eyes on one point or moment
