current loves
1: Zara Geometric Sweatshirt //
This piece is a recent purchase of mine and is one of the main reasons I am so ecstatic for Winter. It is super comfy and I love the small details in the decal. For a good quality jumper, it was reasonably priced and I know I will definitely get my wear out of it!
2: Loose Denim Shorts //
This is more of a 'general loose shorts love' rather than a particular brand or pair. However, I did buy mine from Glassons and haven't stopped wearing them since! Paired with a cute crop, this is such an easy, comfortable yet 'put-together' look (when really, you just threw it on). I especially loved to wear these when I went to the beach, but they pretty much suit every occasion.
3: Dream Of Me Lace Playsuit //
Now, you all know I love a good playsuit, but this one is complete perfection!! The playsuit screams elegant and beachy vibes, which is such a gorgeous combination! Recently, I've been loving items of clothing with a bit more detail and higher quality. I also know that I will get my wear out of them as I'm probably not going to grow much more.
4: Art and Fashion //
Recently I purchased the new Yen magazine, which could probably be another love altogether, but there was a particular article on the combination of Art and Fashion which caught my attention. At first I just found it interesting, nothing special, just intriguing. However, a few days later I was in the city and I began to notice this Art and Fashion mix. Basically artwork, whether its watercolour, drawings, even graphic design, are being to be more commonly incorporated into or onto fashion pieces. You may think this is a common occurrence, but really, your thinking of things such as stripes, florals and patterns. After physically viewing the clothes, an easy conclusion was made, this concept is so incredible and I need to purchase an item! Above I pictured these cute jeans with patches on from Zara, however, there are tons of gorgeous shirts I've also got my eyes on.
5: Acai Bowls //
On my recent trip to Tallebudgera, which you can read more about here, I discovered the amazing-ness of acai bowls. Yes, I'm late to jump on the band-wagon, but now I fully understand all the fuss!! Not only are these bowls so aesthetically pleasing, but they taste so refreshing, delicious and nutritious (rhyme game is strong). You can also purchase acai from local health stores and make your own bowls at home which I will definitely be trying out soon!
6: i hate you, i love you by gnash (ft. olivia o'brien) //
If you haven't heard this song, you must be living under a rock. Before it skyrocketed to #1 on the charts, this song was already a huge love of mine. The lyrics contain so much meaning and depth. So, can we all just take a moment to appreciate the greatness of this song?
7: Dissh
I've been expanding and adding to my wardrobe lately and can I just say, pretty much everything at Dissh is on my want list. The style of all their clothes is a perfect mix of bohemian and chic, which I just LOVE.
8: Gratitude Necklace //
On another one of my shopping trips (I know, its bad), I purchased a rose gold gratitude necklace from Lovisa. I couldn't find the exact one online but I found a very similar one, pictured above from Etsy. Although I was originally drawn to this necklace because of its cute design, the greater purpose was to reinforce the attitude that you should always be grateful of what you have, which overall, is an extremely important thing to be constantly reminded of.
9: Journals //
I've had many failed attempts at journal writing in the past. We have all experienced it, don't lie. New Years comes around and we all make a goal to document this year, but by week 2, your journal is already lying forgotten under your bed. However, this year I have really surprised myself and managed to maintain a constant journal for almost 6 months. I've been using my Be Brave Kikki K journal, similar to that above, which unfortunately I don't think they sell anymore. Although, Kikki K is home to so many beautiful journals, so if your looking for something good quality and adorable, be sure to check them out!
10: Zara //
Like mentioned above, recently I have been trying to expand my style and clothing choices. Therefore, when I entered the new Brisbane Zara, I was overcome with excitement and wonder. Initially I was amazed, then disappointed as I assumed most items would be extremely far from my budget. Although some were, I was happy to find a variety which I can only say were jaw-droopingly amazing and affordable! Zara intrigues me with its unique style and view in the fashion industry and I can only hope I will be purchasing more items in the future!
11: Denim Jacket //
Winter is fast approaching and sitting at the top of my wishlist is a denim jacket. An item which I know I will get so much wear out of and desperate to buy. Denim jackets are one of those clothing pieces which never seem to go out of trend or are un-wearable. They can be the focus of a look or simply complete it. There's not much else to say, except denim jackets are basically amazing.
I hope you all enjoyed having a peak into some of my current loves. Be sure to stay tuned for more upcoming posts, and I hope for all you Aussie students out there, that the return to school brings fun, laughter and not too much stress!!
OG xx
