back to school prep

We all know it's coming and we can't deny it anymore; the beginning of another school year. As the end of holidays are approaching, we strangely begin to look forward to being plunged into structure and routine again, however a part of us also dreads letting go of the freedom and relaxed lifestyle we have become accustomed too.

Therefore, to help prepare you (and myself) for the beginning of another school year, I have created the to-do lists of all to-do lists! Presenting...

What To Do Before the First Day of School

#1: Equip yourself

It's not a new school year without new stationary, right? Buying new notebooks, pencil cases and pretty much anything that will keep you organised during the school year can really boost your motivation for the school year. I love to buy cute to-do lists or planners to help remind me what I need to do. Also ensure that you buy some back-up stationary, such as spare white out or a few pens because they are always handy to have in your locker.

#2: Spring Cleaning

Okay so its not Spring but a big clean out is just what you need before starting school. Go through your clothes etc. and decide what you want to keep, donate or throw. There's no point keeping clothes that you don't want anymore or have grown out of. Also make sure you clean up your workspace ready for studying and working.

#3: Press the Restart button

Before heading back to school, I like to go through my laptop and phone and delete anything unwanted. It is also a good idea to back up your old 2015 folders and photos onto a hard drive, creating room for 2016.

#4: Revamp yourself

This step is completely optional but I think it's nice to start the school year feeling a bit more confident about yourself. I'm not talking about anything dramatic, more like getting a haircut or practicing new hairstyles! Even a simple manicure can make a difference!

#5: Pack your bags

This step is more for the day before school starts however I still wanted to include it. To avoid any rushing about on the first day, pack your bag filled with all your new stationary and even set out your uniform or clothes the night before. Also don't forget to check if those shoes are polished! ;)

#6: Relax!

We've still got a few more weeks of holidays so enjoy it! You're going to be stressed out enough when school starts, so take the time to relax and de-stress. Paint your nails, give yourself a facial, sunbathe by the pool, do whatever!

Until next time,
